Abstract

This research aims to reveal the meaning in the work of the Classy Krew graffiti community in Cibarusah, Bekasi Regency. Classy Krew is an urban art community that uses graffiti as a visual communication medium, with messages including identity, solidarity and social criticism. This research uses a qualitative method with Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, which analyzes meaning at two levels, namely denotation and connotation. Data was obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of graffiti works. The hope of this research is to provide in-depth insight into the meaning of graffiti artwork produced by the Classy Krew community.
