Abstract

This research starts from the problem of how the value of commodities from a community can be transformed into a value that can generate profit. The purpose of this study is to understand the Bekasi Fun Football Community in shaping commodification in the Bekasi Fun League tournament. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research, employing data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study utilizes Vincent Mosco's theory of commodification. The results indicate that the commodification process carried out by the Bekasi Fun Football community in the Bekasi Fun League tournament can yield benefits that are advantageous for the sustainability of the tournament and the community. Cooperation with sponsors and venues will also be fostered effectively. The benefits of the content produced also have an impact on the community's development to become better known to the wider public.
