Abstract

This research is titled "The Impact of Career Wives on the Harmony of Husbands and Wives in Household Under Islamic Law" (a study in Telajung Village, West Cikarang District, Bekasi). This study aims to determine the impact on harmony from career wives in Telajung Village and to analyze Islamic law. This research uses a qualitative research method. The approach used is qualitative descriptive, which aims to describe, explain, and present the condition of the research object as it is, according to the situation and circumstances at the time of the study. The results of this study indicate that the impact of wives as career women on household harmony is assessed from the perspective of Islamic law. The analysis of Islamic law is that domestic work within the household is not an absolute obligation for women, as this responsibility is essentially a shared duty. If a wife sincerely carries out domestic tasks to maintain the integrity of the household, then the husband is obliged to give the highest appreciation. Islam also gives special attention to the status of women by considering physical, emotional, instinctual, legal, and other dimensions. Keywords: Career Women, Islamic Law, Impact, Harmony.
