Abstract

This research aims to understand the communication style of Esports team leaders, especially the HMA Esports team, in building team member cohesiveness and motivation when playing PUBG. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzes how effective communication can increase team involvement and performance. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and involved triangulation to ensure the validity of the data. The implementation of transformational leadership has proven effective in improving team performance, strengthening synergy, and creating a positive emotional climate amidst the pressure of Esports competition. This study provides a practical contribution to the development of leadership patterns in the Esports community, and can be a reference for team leaders in forming a strong and highly competitive team structure.
