Abstract

Student are part of educational institutions that are required to always achieve good academic and non-academic achievements. Student are required to always complete assignments on time, do exams with good resultsand take notes before lectures begin. Student in doing assignmentsoften feel lazy aqnd reluctant to do thye assignments cannot be completed according to the right time this study aims to determine the description, relationship, and influence of task aversiveness and Acadeemic Help Seeking on academic procrastination in active students of Islamic University “45” Bekasi this study uses a quantitavemethod with subjects of active student of the Islamic University “45” Bekasi. The data collection method uses semi-structured interview techniques and psychological scale instruments with a likert scale model consisting of the Aversiveness Scale, Academic Help Seeking Scale and Procrastination Scale. The quality of the scale is measured throught construct validity testing, and Cronbach Alpha reability testing. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis techniques, assumption testing, throught normality testing and linearity testing, then hypothesis testing throught Spearmeans Rho Rank Correlation testing and simple linear regression testing. The result of correlation Test show that there is a very strong and significant positive relationship between task aversiveness and academic procrastination of r = 0,990 with a p value of 0.000 <0.05 (p <0.05). the result of the linear regression test show that there is an F effect of 1913.784 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p<0.05). the coefficient of determination R2 is 0.995, which means that the task aversiveness variable contributes 99.5% to academic procrastination.
