Abstract

This research aims to explore the communication management strategies implemented by the UMKM Office of Bekasi City in supporting the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM)). The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method and is based on Andrew F. Sikula's theory of communication management, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. The findings reveal that the UMKM Office has implemented various communication strategies, such as establishing internal and external communication structures, utilizing digital media, and conducting training and outreach programs. However, several challenges remain, including delays in information dissemination, limited involvement of MSME actors in communication structures, and the lack of systematic evaluation of communication effectiveness. The study recommends that the UMKM Office conduct more accurate needs assessments, improve its information delivery system, and enhance collaboration with various stakeholders to create a more effective and sustainable MSME development ecosystem.
