Abstract
This study aims to determine how management strategies in improving the quality of extracurricular tahfidz Al-qur'an at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 22 Cikarang. The realization of a quality definitely requires a long process and effort. Quality is a change that takes a very long time. Al-Azhar 22 Islamic High School Cikarang is a school that carries out processes and efforts to improve the quality of its extracurricular tahfidz Al-Qur'an. The focus of this research is (1) how to plan strategic management to improve the quality of extracurricular tahfidz at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 22 Cikarang, (2) how to implement management strategies to improve the quality of extracurricular tahfidz at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 22 Cikarang, (3) how to evaluate management strategy to improve the quality of extracurricular tahfidz at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 22 Cikarang. This study used a qualitative method, which took the research location at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 22 Cikarang. Data collection methods are (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation. Analysis of data collection by (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that to improve the quality of tahfidz extracurricular activities at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 22 Cikarang there are several programs that have been implemented, namely, (1) 6SQ program, (2) Tahfidz supercamp activities, (3) collaborating with tahfidz institution Raudhatul Jannah, (4) holding MABIT activities (Night of Faith and Taqwa). These efforts are made so that Al-Azhar Islamic High School can achieve the goals that have been set in its vision and mission, namely making students of Al-Azhar 22 Islamic High School Cikarang the Qur'anic generation.
