Abstract

ABSTRACK Thesis entitled Analysis of Islamic Law in the Implementation of Marriage Guidance as an Effort to Prepare a Sakinah Family (Case Study of West Bekasi KUA). This study aims to analyze the implementation of marriage guidance at West Bekasi KUA with a review of the concept of Islamic law. Marriage guidance is an important step in preparing married couples to face a sakinah, mawaddah, warahmah family life. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a sociological juridical approach, and data collection methods through literature studies, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study are that the implementation of marriage guidance carried out at West Bekasi KUA is in accordance with the principles of Islamic law and applicable laws as stated in the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance No. 172 of 2022 concerning guidelines for marriage guidance. This can be seen from the implementation of marriage guidance which includes Implementers, Materials, Speakers, Methods, Types of Guidance, and the nature of the implementation of guidance. Marriage guidance encompasses various aspects, including spiritual, emotional, social, economic, and health. However, several challenges exist in implementing this guidance, such as a lack of participation from prospective couples and time constraints. This study recommends increasing public awareness of the importance of marriage guidance and developing materials that are more relevant to the needs of young couples. Therefore, this research is expected to contribute to the development of marriage guidance programs at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) and increase public understanding of the importance of thorough preparation in building a harmonious family in accordance with Islamic law.
