Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an automatic plant watering system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using fuzzy logic methods. The system is developed using a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller integrated with a DHT11 sensor (temperature and humidity) and a soil moisture sensor. Mamdani fuzzy logic is applied to determine the watering intensity based on three environmental input parameters, producing an adaptive output duration (0, 6, or 9 seconds). Environmental data is displayed through an LCD 16x2 and monitored in real-time via the Blynk platform. Testing results show that the system operates accurately and automatically, offering more efficient water usage compared to conventional threshold-based systems. This system not only simplifies remote garden management but also supports smart and resource-efficient household-scale precision agriculture practices.
