Abstract
The subject of this research is a hijab-themed modeling community, where all members are required to wear a hijab. This community is called Putri Hijab Academy (PHA), under the auspices of Putri Hijabfluencer Indonesia (PHI). The research uses Pierre Bourdieu’s perspective on habitus. Through the viewpoints of Bourdieu, this research examines the role of the community in shaping the hijab styles used and explores the meaning of hijab fashion in the modeling world. The results of the study show that the community does not entirely influence its members. Although the community has the power to change its members’ habits, each member has the agency to form their own ideas about hijab fashion.
