Abstract

The Earthquake-Resistant Reinforced Concrete Structure Design for a 10-Story Lecture Building in The Karawang area was conducted in accordance with SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019. The structural analysis was performed using ETABS v.21 software for comprehensive structural modeling and calculations, and Microsoft Excel for manual verification. The analysis results indicate that the structure meets seismic performance criteria, such as modal participation mass ratio, fundamental period, base shear force, and stability against lateral deformation and P-Δ effects. The structural system used is a dual system with a special moment frame and special reinforced concrete shear walls, where the frame is capable of resisting more than 25% of the seismic force, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. The design of the superstructure elements includes a 120 mm thick floor slab and beam dimensions ranging from 250 x 300 mm to 400 x 650 mm. The foundation was designed using spun piles with a diameter of 450 mm and a length of 22 meters, along with two types of pile caps, adjusted to the number of piles and the required load. Tie beams were also designed to maintain foundation rigidity. The foundation design took into account moderate soil conditions (primary school site) and the most critical load combinations to ensure the structure's earthquake resistance. Overall, the planned structure is ductile and meets safety and feasibility requirements for an earthquake-resistant building.
