Abstract
The structural design of multi-story office buildings is a crucial aspect in ensuring the safety and comfort of the structure. This study aims to design a reinforced concrete structure for a four-story office building that is safe, efficient, and compliant with Indonesian technical standards, including SNI 2847:2019, SNI 1726:2019, and SNI 1727:2020. The primary structural system adopts a Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF), implementing the strong-column weak-beam concept to enhance structural ductility. Dead, live, and earthquake loads were determined using the response spectrum method in accordance with SNI 1727:2020 and the response spectrum analysis stipulated in SNI 1726:2019. The analysis and design of structural elements—including slabs, beams, columns, stairs, foundations, and tie beams—were carried out following flexural and shear strength requirements in SNI 2847:2019. Structural modeling and analysis were performed using ETABS version 18 and Microsoft Excel. The results indicate that the dimensions and reinforcement of the structural elements meet strength and ductility criteria as per SNI standards. This research provides a technical guideline for designing earthquake-resistant office building structures and serves as a reference for civil engineering practitioners.
