Abstract

This research is motivated by teachers who have not implemented a variety of learning models, so that students are still difficult in understanding reading comprehension in Civics subjects. This study aims to determine the comparative results of reading comprehension in Civics subjects through the Think Pair Share learning model and the Think Talk Write learning model for third grade students at SDN Perwira 1 North Bekasi. The research method used in this research is an experiment with a research design, namely quasi experimental design. This study used experimental class I and experimental class II, where experimental class I used the Think Pair Share learning model and experimental class II used the Think Talk Write learning model. The analysis techniques used in this research are Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, Hypothesis Test and N-Gain Test, using the help of data processing applications, namely IBM Statistic SPSS version 26. The result of this research is that Think Pair Share learning model is more effective in reading comprehension of students compared to Think Talk Write learning model. The average increase in experimental class I with Think Pair Share learning model is 5.0, while in experimental class II with Think Talk Write learning model is only 0.20. Hypothesis testing showed a significant difference between the two learning models with a significance value (sig.) of 0.020 < (0.05). Thus, Think Pair Share learning model gives more positive influence on students' reading comprehension. Keywords : Think Pair Share and Think Talk Write Learning Models, Civics Reading Comprehension
