Abstract

Health services at primary care facilities such as UPTD Puskesmas Sukamahi still face challenges in delivering patient education due to limited consultation time and varying levels of patient understanding. To address this issue, a web-based patient education system was developed using the prototyping method, which allows for iterative development based on user feedback. The system consists of two modules: patients (without login) and administrators (with login). It includes key features such as educational articles, YouTube video links, multiple-choice educational quizzes with automatic scoring, content rating, and quiz result recaps. The development process involved needs analysis, user interface design, feature implementation, and system testing using the black-box method. The testing results showed that all features functioned according to the defined use case scenarios. This system is expected to support promotive and preventive health programs by providing easily accessible digital health information and enhancing patient health literacy without disrupting existing medical service workflows.
