Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the inventory control of rasfur and yelvo fabric raw materials used in doll production at Monex Toys Abadi, by applying two inventory control systems: the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method and the Just In Time (JIT) method. A comparison will then be made between the raw material inventory control based on the owner's policy and the EOQ and JIT methods, to determine which method is more optimal for inventory control at Monex Toys Abadi. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method by presenting how Monex Toys Abadi manages its raw material inventory through the data obtained and analyzed. The inventory control of rasfur and yelvo fabrics, after further analysis, shows that in managing raw material inventory, the cost incurred using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method is more optimal and saves more inventory costs compared to the owner's policy and the Just In Time (JIT) method. The total inventory costs for each method are as follows: Rp2,490,438 (owner’s policy), Rp496,247 (EOQ), and Rp1,290,123 (JIT) for rasfur fabric; and Rp2,481,335 (owner’s policy), Rp505,439 (EOQ), and Rp1,805,328 (JIT) for yelvo fabric. In general, it can be concluded that the EOQ method is more effective because it enhances cost efficiency at Monex Toys Abadi compared to the JIT method.
