Abstract

Atika Liani Natashya 41182933180009 "West Java Community Perception of Islamic Banks", Islamic Banking Study Program, Islamic University 45 Bekasi. 2025 M / 1446 H. Public knowledge of Islamic financial institutions can be seen from how public knowledge of Islamic banking. In the province of West Java with the number of Muslims dominating more than 90% of the population in West Java. With this, it is hoped that the population of West Java will have a good perception of Islamic Banking. Public perception of Islamic Banks, namely Islamic Banks are identical to banks that do not have interest and Islamic banking is an Islamic bank. Perception is the process of finding information to be understood using sensory tools. Perception is a process of giving meaning or giving meaning to things that enter the individual's cognitive system. Public knowledge and understanding of Islamic banks is still quite minimal. This affects public perception of Islamic Banks. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of the West Java community towards Islamic Banks and to analyze the perception of the West Java community towards Islamic Banks. The method used by the researcher is a qualitative research method. The analysis method used is the literature review analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the West Java community has a perception that the community does not have knowledge about Islamic Banks, does not use an interest system, its advantages have not been proven, conventional bank products are more numerous, higher and certain rewards at Conventional Banks, the location of Islamic Banks is difficult to reach, Islamic Bank facilities are minimal, Islamic Banks are only for Muslims, there is no difference between Islamic Banks and Conventional Banks. towards Islamic Banks.
