Abstract

Research entitled: Strategy of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of West Lampung Regency in Managing Ranau Lake Tourism in Lumbok Seminung District This research was conducted at the West Lampung Regency Office. The background is the potential for natural tourism in West Lampung District and the priority of tourism development by the government. The purpose of this study is to analyze strategies in managing and developing tourism in West Lampung Regency. The limitation of this study is that it is focused on the type of natural tourism. The data collection methods used by the author in this study are observation techniques, interviews, documentation, library research and online data searches. The research informants that the author used in this study were 3 (two) informants from the West Lampung Regency Tourism Office and additional informants from the managers of natural tourism destinations. The results of this study are: based on the indicators used In general, there are weaknesses, especially in the long-term plan which is still relatively devoid of clear tourism development targets and objectives, specifically in the Lake Ranau tourism area. The same is true for the annual activity agenda which is still very minimal. so that there is still a lack of facilities to promote existing tourist attractions. Also in terms of improving facilities and infrastructure which are still minimal, there have been no efforts made to improve facilities and infrastructure as a whole in all tourist attractions in the Lake Ranau tourism area. And also in terms of cooperation, the tourism office does not yet have clear cooperation with industry and creative economy actors in efforts to improve tourist attractions in Lake Ranau.
