Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the results of observations in class 5 during the learning of Civics Education that students in the class were unable to focus, chat, walk around, sleepy, and lack of enthusiasm. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the learning outcomes of Civics Education using, or not using and the effect of the Teams Games Tournament learning model for grade 5 students at SDN Jatirasa III Bekasi. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment, with a Pretest- Posttest Control Group design. The data analysis technique used Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Hypothesis Test using IBM Statistic SPSS version 24. The population was 60 students with a division of 30 in the experimental class and 30 in the control class. The results of class research using the Teams Games Tournament learning model have a higher posttest value than the pretest value, namely 98.17> 28., Furthermore, classes that do not use the Teams Games Tournament learning model have a higher posttest value than the pretest value, namely 90.17> 27.17. So, the use of the Teams Games Tournament learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of 5th grade Civics Education students at SDN Jatirasa III Bekasi with an experimental class value greater than the control class, namely 98.17> 90.17 and the value of t count> t table, namely 2.889> 1.672.
