Abstract

The Sadang River is a primary channel in Cibitung District which covers secondary channels in Wanajaya Village and Wanasari Village. The purpose of this study is to find out the river discharge on the Sadang River which is divided into four segments and efforts to handle river discharge in the future. A watershed is a part of land where it is united with rivers and tributaries, functioning to accommodate and drain water from rainfall to lakes and to the sea naturally. The method used by the author to analyze the river discharge is by calculating the average rainfall, measuring the dimensions of the channel, analyzing with ArcMap 10.8 Software. and the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) method. The Nakayasu HSS is the right method because the calculation is generated by the hourly discharge value when the rain starts to fall, the peak time until the end of the flood. The existing Sadang River discharge value is 954.37 m3/sec and the results of the analysis of the Sadang River Peak Discharge with a 10-year recurrence period of 6107.47 m3/sec and a 25-year recurrence period of 7513.01 m3/sec and the same peak time of 2 hours. So it is necessary to plan with a rectangular channel, the dimensions of the base width of the channel (b) = 28.7 m and the height of the channel (h) = 10 m.
