Abstract
ABSTRACT Indonesia, which is located on the equator, has great potential in utilizing solar energy. The western region of Indonesia receives around 4.5 kWh/m²/day of solar energy exposure, while the eastern region reaches 5.1 kWh/m²/day. Solar energy has been widely used by people, including farmers, fishermen and companies to save electricity costs. In a hydroponic system, mustard greens can be grown without soil, which saves water and space and provides better nutrient control. Solar panels are very useful in areas with high sun exposure and where electricity is difficult to reach. In this research, what will be discussed is the design of a hydroponic energy system for mustard greens using solar panels and Arduino-based nutritional control, and knowing the nutritional value and knowing the overall system efficiency value of the hydroponic system. This research method uses quantitative data collected from the results of surveys and experiments. This research resulted in the design of an automatic watering system for hydroponic mustard plants. With 100wp solar panel power, mono-crystalline solar panel type, from variations in the tilt angle of the solar panel, the highest efficiency of 21.00% was achieved at a solar panel tilt angle of 20O at 15:00 WIB. Mustard plants obtain 8.25% nutrition, with an average conformity of the tool measurement results and the water acidity (PH) sensor measurement results of 97.57% and the suitability of the tool measurement results and substance sensor measurements (Ppm) of 96.97 %.
