Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the level of work accidents in PT Noree Indonesia Paper Factory, knows the cause of the accident working at PT Noree Indonesia Paper Factory, as well as providing suggestions for improvements using the 5R method at PT Perusahaan Kertas Noree Indonesia. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods, techniques Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, observation and literature study. The research results prove that PT Perusahaan Kertas Noree Indonesia has not optimally in implementing Occupational Safety and Health (K3). Based on results of calculating work-related accident statistics from 2019 to 2023 the number of work accidents rises and falls. There are potential risks causes work accidents to Production Department workers, namely workers who not using personal protective equipment, dangerous workplace conditions, as well as untidy work area. From the research results, suggestions for improvement were obtained based on the 5R method, namely (1) Be concise, store items that are still available use or get rid of unused items; (2) Neat, placement appropriate positioning of goods and equipment; (3) Cleanliness, cleaning machines and areas work and create a regular cleaning schedule; (4) Treat, operator with field expertise in place and receive supervision while working in order discipline and order; (5) Be diligent, workers get used to placing tools appropriately and clean the work area, and PT Noree Indonesia Paper Factory must has a periodic schedule of at least once a month at the management level. In general it can be concluded that by implementing occupational safety and health using the 5R method properly and consistently consistent and making continuous improvements, there will be a decline work accident rate and increased productivity at PT Kertas Factory Noree Indonesia
