Abstract
This research deskriptive the leadership of the Village Head in physical development activities carried out in Talagasari Village, Banjarwangi District, Garut Regency in the 2022 fiscal year. The problem raised is that only 65% of the total budgeted funds were realized in physical development activities. The aim of this research is to find out how the Village Head's leadership is in the physical development of Talagasari Village, Banjarwangi District, Garut Regency, what obstacles there are in the Village Head's leadership in physical development, and what efforts are being made to overcome these obstacles. The method used is a qualitative research method, using case studies, data collection methods using interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the Village Head's leadership in the physical development of Talagasari Village has not carried out its function well. Looking at the instruction function, consultation function, participation function, delegation function and control function carried out shows that the Village Head has not been able to mobilize the community or apparatus in overall physical development activities. The obstacle to the leadership of the Village Head is that the human resources of the government apparatus have minimal knowledge of government governance. The Village Head lacks communication and coordination. Community institutions and BPD are not carrying out their functions properly. Social control in society is not working. Of course, there have been efforts made to overcome these obstacles, namely by participating in technical guidance training. Remind the Village Head through an informal meeting. Hold consultations and request guidance on regional government. The Village Head routinely holds outreach regarding Village financial management. The final effort is for the Village government to provide guidance to the community through Village institutions. Keywords : Village Head Leadership in physical development
