Abstract
Aluminum Cylinder heads are important engine components in the automotive and manufacturing industries. This research aims to potimize cutting parameters to increase efficiency and surface quality of the cutting results. The research was carried out using experimental methods where variations in spindel speed and feed depth were explored. These parameters were chosen because they have a significant impack on cutting speed, surface smoothness and tool life. Aluminium is chosen because it is light, easy to shape, and is commonly used in the production of cylinder heads for motorbikes and other machines. The rpm variations used in this process are 385, 495, 661 and the feed depth variations are 0,02, 0,03, 0,04 using a cylinder head object made of aluminium alloy through a rougness test process using the JIS standard surface rougness tool (1994). Of the 9 cylinder head surface rougness test samples with variations in spindel rotation (Rpm) and ingestion depth (mm), the value that is included in the cylinder head rougnes standard from the experimental results is spindle rotation of 495 Rpm with a feeding depth of 0,02 and 0,03 mm.
