Abstract
This Scientific Writing (KTI) is entitled “Discovery Learning Model as a Solution to Improve Learning Outcomes in Science Subjects for Elementary School Students. Learning Outcomes are the abilities of each student obtained from the learning process in which students try systematically and lead to positive change. Therefore, this paper was created as literature to improve learning outcomes in science subjects for elementary school students. The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) learning ability survey under the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2015 showed that the ability of Indonesian children in the fields of Language, Mathematics, and Science or Science was ranked 69th out of 76 countries. . Based on the results of a study of various journals, it was found that there were problems with the low learning outcomes of students in elementary schools, namely that many students had not reached the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). These problems can be overcome by using the discovery learning model, namely in this method both improve student learning outcomes. As for the recommendation from this author, it is better if the next researcher or writer can develop this paper and complete the various shortcomings that exist in this paper.
