Abstract
General elections are an arena for political contestation which is carried out by giving the people the right to be able to elect leaders or representatives according to their wishes. The problem in this research is that there are still many money politics practices carried out by candidates in the 2024 General Election in Bekasi City. This research was conducted to find out the Election Supervisory Agency's strategy in preventing the practice of money politics in the 2024 elections in Bekasi City. The research in this case examines using a constructivist paradigm with qualitative research methods accompanied by a case study research approach. The data collection techniques: observation, in-depth interviews, literature and documentation studies, and purposive sampling techniques. The results of the research state that the Election Supervisory Agency's strategy in preventing the practice of money politics in the 2024 elections in Bekasi City is in accordance with the desired strategy. This research uses the theory of strategy types according to Koteen (2015) which consists of 4 (four) indicators, namely; Organizational Strategy (Corporate Strategy), Program Strategy (Program Strategy), Resource Support Strategy (Resource Support Strategy), and Institutional Strategy (Institutional Strategy). Then, from the strategy realized, the Bekasi City Bawaslu has implemented several activity programs such as socialization of participatory supervision, political education for novice voters, and collaborating with various institutions in Bekasi City. This was done to prevent the practice of money politics in the 2024 elections in Bekasi City. Keywords: Strategy, General Election, Money Politics
