Abstract

ABSTRACT In its development, canned waste has become a material that is sought after by canned waste collectors to sell to used goods collectors which are reprocessed in a factory to become new materials. The design of this press machine is intended to assist users in the waste processing process by minimizing space, especially in the storage space for waste bins, as well as making it easier to collect recyclables. This pressing machine is made to compress objects with compressive force, which uses an electric motor with a direct transmission system with ¼ HP specifications which can consume 1.44 kWh of electrical power per eight hours. The developed press machine modifications can result in increased productivity, as well as reducing noise. Component changes in engine modifications include removing the gearbox, chain and v-belt.
