Abstract

Good Governance in this government is defined as the implementation of solid and responsible development management and in line with the principles of democracy and efficient markets, so that good governance functions to avoid misallocation of investment funds and prevent corruption both politically and administratively. To achieve good governance in its good implementation, the principles of good governance should be enforced in various important institutions in government. These principles include: community participation, upholding the supremacy of law (courts), transparency, equality for all citizens, effectiveness and efficiency, accountability, and strategic vision. Good and correct implementation of good governance is an implementation that is able to create prosperity and prosperity for the people in the village, so that the output of good and correct implementation is a good governance system. According to Kusnendar (2018), the village government is the most basic government unit in the hierarchy recognized in the government system. National, whichmeans thevillage government is theorganization at the forefront of providing public services because the village government directly serves the community. Based on the results of research conducted in Purwamekar Village using data collection, observation, interviews and documentation techniques, it can be concluded that the implementation of Good Governance in Purwamekar Village, Karawang Regency has not been running optimally, based on the theory of Sedarmaryanti (2012) there are 3 (three) indicators in the implementation of good governance, namely Accountability, Transparency, Compliance with the law.
