Abstract

ABSTRACT Abdul Aziz, NPM 41182911200095, “Application of the Direct Instruction Learning Model in Improving Literacy and Writing the Qur'an at SMKN 1 Cikarang Barat”. Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi. This study aims to explore the application of the Direct Instruction Learning Model in improving literacy and Qur'an writing skills at SMKN 1 Cikarang Barat. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that the implementation of the Direct Instruction Learning Model had a positive impact on students' literacy and Qur'an writing skills. Teachers succeeded in creating a supportive learning environment, motivating students and improving students' ability to understand and write the Qur'an. Students responded well to the structured and measurable teaching methods and showed improvement in their comprehension and motivation to learn. Thus, the Direct Instruction Learning Model is effective in improving students' Qur'an literacy and writing skills at SMKN 1 Cikarang Barat. This study contributes to the development of Islamic religious education in vocational high schools. Keywords: Direct Instruction Model, Qur'an Literacy, Qur'an Writing
