Abstract
Straw mushrooms have an optimal temperature of 31°C - 35°C, and relative humidity for straw mushrooms is in the range of 85% - 95%. Therefore, the temperature and humidity of the air around the kumbung is considered to be very fluctuating, so efforts are needed to maintain the temperature and humidity. In this test, a heating system was used. The heating system uses 3 variations, namely water temperature 50°C, water temperature 60°C, water temperature 70°C. The heating system used in this research uses a single-burner stove and is fueled by gas which aims to produce hot water and then it will flow into the mushroom kumbung via a hose and the water will be sprayed using a spray every 5 minutes for 24 hours. The aim of this research is to determine the heating system process at each temperature condition used, determine the heat transfer produced during each process, and determine the comparison of total efficiency and overall process efficiency. From the test results, the Qheating value was 683 W. The heat produced in each process is that at 50°C conditions we get Qgas = 4 kJ/s, Qair = 3.8 kJ/s, Qspary = 3.2 kJ/s, at 60°C conditions we get Qgas = 6.3 kJ /s. Qair = 6.1 kJ/s, Qspray = 5.4 kJ/s, at 70°C conditions obtained Qgas = 9.2 kJ/s, Qair = 8.7 kJ/s, Qspray = 7.6 kJ/s . The most optimal results for the heating system process for mushroom barns at 50°C conditions produce a greater effect on mushroom barns compared to water conditions of 60°C and 70°C. The total efficiency and overall process efficiency of the conditioning heating system is that at 50°C the total efficiency is 17% and the overall process efficiency is 16%; at 60°C conditions the total efficiency is 11% and the overall process efficiency is 10%; and under conditions of 70°C the total efficiency is 7.4% and the overall process efficiency is 7.7%.
