Abstract

This research discusses the narrative of lifehack videos in videos uploaded by Khaby Lame on the Tiktok application. Khaby is popular because he combines the concept of life hacking, which is often taken seriously, with comedy in the form of mock videos. The aim of this research is to find out how the lifehack cultural narrative is constructed in Khaby Lame's TikTok content. The research data was analyzed using Barthes' narrative concept. The results of the analysis show that the lifehack culture narrative in Khaby Lame's TikTok content builds a discourse of intelligence in simplicity. He not only shows practical solutions to everyday dilemmas, but also conveys the message that intelligence is not always seen from the complexity of the problems faced, but rather from the ability to find effective and efficient solutions.
