Abstract

The growing population requires adequate means of transportation. The increasing public purchasing power of motorized vehicles, especially four-wheeled diesel motor vehicles, has caused several problems, especially in terms of fuel oil (BBM). Therefore, many companies innovate to make boosters to improve the quality of fuel both gasoline and diesel to meet the needs of quality standards. and fuel efficiency This research uses an experimental method which is a quantitative research which clearly describes the experimental results in the form of numbers. The object of this research is a diesel engine passenger vehicle using biodiesel fuel, a mixture of biodiesel with Cetane Booster and Dexlite products, then seen from the engine performance. The maximum torque of the 4N15 diesel engine with Dexlite fuel is 419.1 Nm at 2500 rpm. And the maximum power of the 4N15 diesel engine is 177.1 HP at 3500 rpm. Maximum torque using Biosolar + Eco Diesel (CE) fuel is 420.3 Nm at 2500 rpm engine speed. And the maximum power of the 4N15 diesel engine is 182.2 HP at 3500 rpm. Maximum torque using Biosolar + MANNOL 9955 (CM) fuel is 409.7 Nm at 2500 rpm engine speed. And the maximum power of the 4N15 diesel engine is 173.3 HP at 3500 rpm. For motorized vehicle users if you want to use a booster product for fuel, it would be wiser to do a test first because what is written on the package that says "can increase the octane/cetane value so much" but after testing not everything is in accordance with what is offered .
