Abstract

The crossing of a road and railway is a matter to be taken into account in transportation because it will affect the performance of the road that cuts with it. As with the rail crosser in the Walet Tambun Gang Road, it is an arterial road with a type of road 2 lines 2 directions divided by a high volume of traffic, which cuts by 2 railways, on such lines also frequent congestion and accidents. This method of research was done by taking data directly in the field and then the data was processed using Ms. Excel software with guidelines on the Manual of Capacity of Indonesia Road 1997 Urban Road, and sampling respondents, likert scale to contain the score of the criteria of the question using the software SPSS. The results of the research showed the performance of the street crossing a section of rail KA with Gang Walet Road North-South direction on Tuesday entered category C with a DS max value of 0.69, V max 43.5 km/h, C max of 2414,00 Smp/h means a stable current. While the South-East direction enters category D with DS max of 0.75 means that the current starts to be unstable. Delay and Track length results, highest on Tuesday, North-South morning delay of 45.3 seconds with Track Length 231.30 meters. lowest on Saturday, day length 135.14 seconds, with Tracker length 42.15 metres. while South-East direction highest occurred on Tuesday afternoon at 468.12 seconds, With Tracklength 226.5 meters, lowest occurring on Saturdays, Day length of 134.74 seconds, with Tracking length 12.89 meters. Analysis of data questionnaire results indicated that the highest response rate result was in Road conditions of 67%, the lowest 35% in safety and safety of tracks.
