Abstract

Kebumen Geopark is one of the geoparks in Indonesia that has won the title of Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark (AUGGp) and will soon get the title of UNESCO Global Geopark (UGGp). Kebumen Geopark has a wealth of biodiversity, geodiversity, and cultural diversity resources that must be optimized for the benefit and welfare of the people of Kebumen Regency, so as to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study raised the management of the Kebumen Geopark as seen from synchronization and strategies to achieve the UGGp predicate. This research uses the Helix-Thinking theory of Igor Calzada which states that the development of innovation emphasizes increasing the level of participants, proactive political stakeholders, and special efforts to ensure local businesses (+) can develop. The synchronization contained in the management of the Kebumen Geopark is the pentahelix (academics, business people, communities, government, media) with collaborative governance in it, resulting in the formulation of ABCGM +. The research methods used are descriptive qualitative, data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of research data through data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The academic aspect synchronizes and strategies in the form of education, research, community empowerment, and conservation. The business aspect synchronizes and strategies in the form of facilitation of geotourism infrastructure facilities. The community aspect plays a role in increasing public awareness of the potential of the Kebumen Geopark. The government aspect has carried out its role as a policy maker and implemented conservation strategies to maintain the sustainability of the Kebumen Geopark. The media aspect plays a role in conducting balanced news on an ongoing basis so as to attract tourists to visit the Kebumen Geopark. The results of this study show that Pentahelix Collaborative Governance ABCGM+ in the management of the Kebumen Geopark must be improved in order to achieve UGGp in a sustainable manner.
