Abstract
Plate Oil Return is one of the components contained in the Plate vintilation baffle, which is a place to unite all the components that make up the Cover Sub-Assy Cylinder Head component. The Plate Oil Return case production process uses injection molding, injection molding is one of the most common methods for mass-producing plastic parts from complex materials and perfect dimensional tolerances. In the injection molding process, the pressure and time pressure parameters are important parameters that must be considered so as not to cause defective products. So far, the most common defects are shrinkage. In this study, several test objects were made with variations in pressure values and time for different stresses. The purpose of this is to determine the extent to which these parameters affect the occurrence of shrinkage defects that occur during the production process. Variations of pressure parameters given in this study were 30 MPa, 45 MPa, 55 MPa and the suppression time was 3 s, 5 s, and 7s. Through mathematical calculation methods and Profile Projector test shows that the test object with a pressure value of 30 Mpa and a press time of 3 s has the largest percentage of shrinkage defects. While the test object with a pressure parameter value of 55 MPa and a press time of 7 s has the smallest percentage of shrinkage defects. It can be concluded that the percentage of shrinkage defects (shinkage) is inversely proportional to the pressure value of the pressure and time parameters.
