Abstract

This research is based on the problem of learning to read at school where students still answer questions carelessly, answer questions with inappropriate answers, some do not fill in answers because they do not understand the meaning of the questions, in reading activities students do not read completely so that students do not understand the content of the text well. From the results of identifying which questions were answered incorrectly and which questions were not filled in by students, students also experienced difficulty in rewriting the content of the reading, determining the main idea in the text, determining the theme of the reading, writing conclusions and retelling the content of the reading. It is not uncommon for students to have difficulty In reading and understanding the content of the text, they have to read it repeatedly to be able to answer questions about the reading text that the students have read. The aim of this research is to obtain results on how to apply the reciprocal teaching learning model in improving reading comprehension skills in elementary school students This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology with analysis and review of 10 selected journals regarding how the Reciprocal Teaching model influences elementary school students' reading comprehension. Of the 10 journals selected for review and analysis, the results showed that there were 4 different research methodologies. There are 3 journals that have been accredited by SINTA, namely SINTA 2, SINTA 4, and SINTA 5. For research areas, of the 10 journals there are 3 journals whose research areas are in the Makkasar area, South Sulawesi. Of the 10 journals, there are 4 journals that include reading comprehension indicators in them, and there are 2 out of 10 journals that use learning media, namely leaflets and pop-up books when using the reciprocal teaching model. The conclusion is that the Reciprocal Teaching Learning Model is able to improve elementary school students' reading comprehension skills. Based on the journal analysis, the recommendation given is the Reciprocal Teaching Learning Model by using Interactive Video Learning Media.
