Abstract
At the level of implementation of community empowerment policies, the Village Law has placed villages as the spearhead of development and improvement of community welfare by providing sufficient authority and sources of funds so that they can manage their potential to improve the economy and community welfare. However, village funds are still widely used for infrastructure development, not for economic empowerment programs that focus on poverty alleviation. Therefore, it is interesting to conduct a more in-depth study regarding the description of the implementation of community empowerment policies through the use of Village Funds by looking at the condition of people's welfare in the Sukakarya District, Bekasi Regency. This study was designed using qualitative methods. The selection of informants was carried out purposively. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques to describe, tell, describe and describe qualitative data. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of community empowerment policies through the use of Village Funds which are realized in the form of programs and activities in the field of community empowerment have not run optimally. In addition, the impact of the implementation of community empowerment policies through the utilization of Village Funds has not been significant for increasing welfare in people's lives in Sukakarya District.
