Abstract

The existance of Penjaga Laut as a social movement that cares about environmental sustainability, especially in marine ecosystems, invite the public to participate in preserving marine ecosystems as an effort to overcome the impacts of climate change which are getting worse every year. Trough its instagram account the @jagalaut.id movement shares its activities in an effort to tackel the impact of the climate crisis, as well as educating its instagram followers instagram so they can participate and care about the importance of protecting the environment, especially marine ecosystem. Inthis regard, the autho wants to describe environmental communication messages carried out by instagram account @jagalaut.id using a qualitative writing method with deskriptive analysis. The theory used in this study is the resource moilization theory from Anthony Oberschall. The result of this study indicate that @jagalaut.id instagram account can be used as a medium for conveying environmental communication messages, to optimize the marine guard movement by providing information, education, campaigns through the instagram uploads, so there is increase the mass in the mobilization activities carried out.
