Indri Lestari Komariyah. 41182911160039. THE CONCEPT OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION ACCORDING TO FAZLUR RAHMAN (REVIEW OF THE INDEPENDET LEARNING CURRICULUM). Islamic Education of “45” Islam University Bekasi. (2023 M/1444 H). (92 pages+15 pages of attachments). Islamic education had changed based on growing era, the development of science and technology. Therefore, Islamic education must be designed to follow the rhythm of these changes, otherwise Islam will left behind by other teachings. One that often has an impact on success in the world of education is the curriculum. In Indonesia, there have been 10 to 11 curriculum changes since Indonesia's independence. Of course the curriculum changes that occur can be confusing, especially for educators, students, and even parents. In addition to curriculum changes, the curriculum implemented in Indonesia is also quite complex. This type of research is library research, which examines various literature related to Fazlur Rahman and Islamic Education Renewal. The approach used in this study is a historical-philosophical approach, meaning that researchers will explore the initial philosophical emergence of Fazlur Rahman's thoughts related to Islamic Education Thought so that a map of the problem will be clearly visible, explored through document records and analyze it by describing the relevance of Fazlur Rahman's thoughts about Islamic education to independent learning curriculum development. Observing the statement above, the research findings indicate that there is a spirit of change from updating the curriculum with Fazlur Rahman's thoughts to both improve existing education. And create educators and students who develop, with various ideas, creativity, skills in learning to create a better world of education.
