Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the initial data of students which shows 66.67% of students who can achieve KKM ≥ 75. This research was conducted at SDS Sartika in class IV students, totaling 12 people with 6 boys and 6 girls. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes, therefore the right method is needed and optimize student learning outcomes using one of the jigsaw type cooperative learning models. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK), with Kemmis research design and Mc. Taggart which consists of planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The instruments to be used are tests and observations. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. In the pre-cycle cycle the average score of students was 65 with a learning mastery percentage of 33.33%. Cycle I average score of 76.17 with a learning completeness percentage of 66.67%. Cycle II average score of 84.58 with a learning completeness percentage of 83.33%. This research was declared successful because it had reached the standard criteria for completeness that had been set. So it can be concluded that using the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools.
