Abstract

This Scientific Writing has a background based on the learning of Islamic Religious Education which has not been optimal. Students only listen and take notes from the teacher's explanation. Students tend to be passive, even though there is material that is not clear. This happens because some students do not pay attention during learning. Learning is still teacher-centered, not student-centered. Teachers also have not implemented various learning models. The main reason is because the conventional method used by teachers so far will facilitate the learning process. The application of an optimal learning model makes students tend to get bored. Students are only given textbooks that contain various materials to study without using learning methods and models that stimulate students to be active and interested in taking lessons, especially in Islamic Religious Education where there is a lot of material. The Cooperative Model of the Make A Match type is a learning model that is supported by the presentation of questions and answers. Students are required to have responsibility and be active in every learning activity. The following are the steps for using the Cooperative Model of the Make A Match type: Each student gets one card and thinks of an answer or question from the card they are holding. before the deadline is awarded points. Predictions from the results that have been implemented with the Make A Match type Cooperative Model, what is expected of students is to improve Islamic learning outcomes, students will be more active in learning Islamic religion, make learning meaningful, students can solve problem solving, increase learning motivation, train think critically and make it easier for the teacher to inform the material.
