Abstract

This study intends to find out whether disclosure of climate change has an effect on financial stability and whether profitability is able to moderate the relationship of climate change disclosure to financial stability. In this study, the independent variable used is disclosure of climate change, the intervening variable is profitability. Meanwhile, the dependent variable is financial stability.          The analytical method used in this study, namely the Classical Assumption Test and path analysis with the SPSS 23 software application. The type of data used is secondary data on banking sector companies taken through the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, namely www.idx.co.id or the company's official website and the sampling technique used purposive sampling with an observation period from 2019-2022, so that a sample of 20 companies was obtained.   Based on the partial test results, disclosure of climate change has a significant positive effect on profitability. Meanwhile, disclosure of climate change and profitability does not have a significant effect on financial stability and profitability is not able to moderate the effect of climate change on financial stability. For this reason, it is hoped that the next researcher can add other independent variables that are not used in this study.
