Abstract
The use of the Economic Quantity Order (EOQ) method at PT. Astro Technologies Indonesia provides significant benefits to the management of their native chicken egg inventory. Through EOQ analysis, the company succeeded in determining the optimal amount of inventory to order per shipment, achieving efficiency in inventory management. In addition, PT. Astro Technologies Indonesia achieved consistent results for safe stock and reorder points, demonstrating good levels of inventory safety and reorder thresholds. With the implementation of EOQ, the company managed to avoid excess or shortage of inventory, thereby reducing storage and ordering costs optimally. The use of EOQ also increases efficiency and effectiveness in managing their free-range egg supply, which has an impact on improving customer service and optimizing company profits. Although the annual EOQ method proves to be more efficient, companies must continuously monitor and evaluate market conditions, fluctuations in customer demand, and fluctuations in raw material prices to adjust their inventory strategy. In addition, PT. Astro Technologies Indonesia may consider integrating EOQ with modern data analysis and technology to optimize overall inventory management. With continuous adjustments and improvements in inventory management using EOQ, companies can improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, maintaining competitiveness in a competitive market. Efficient inventory management will help companies achieve their business goals and provide added value to customers. Therefore, PT. Astro Technologies Indonesia can consistently apply the EOQ method effectively and carry out periodic evaluations to stay on the path of success.
