Abstract

The increasing number of glass and bottle factories in Indonesia that use refractory stone furnaces and produce waste, one of which is silica bricks, where these bricks are used as smelting furnaces. To avoid the accumulation of waste, silica stone is used as a substitute for gravel in concrete mixtures in an effort to increase its compressive strength. This study aims to determine the ratio of compressive strength of normal concrete (0% silica stone fragment waste) with substitution variations of 5%, 15%, and 25% Silica Rock Fractional Waste (LPBS). Concrete compressive strength testing based on SNI 03-6825-2002 using a Compression Test Machine with a capacity of 1500 kN with ASTM C-39 test standards. The results showed that the composition of the concrete mixture at the age of 28 days with a variation of 0% LPBS (normal concrete) with an average compressive strength of 210.643 kg/cm² or 20.6573 MPa. For LPBS variations, 5% gives a maximum average compressive strength of 231.3504 (Kg/cm2) or 22.6880 (MPa). For LPBS variations, 15% gives a maximum average compressive strength of 239.2049 (Kg/cm2) or 23.4583 (MPa). For LPBS variations, 25% gives a maximum average compressive strength value of 260.6261 (Kg/cm2) or 25.5591 (MPa). 5. With the results of this test, it can be concluded that concrete with a mixture of 5%, 15%, and 25% silica stone fragment waste at the age of 28 days is able to increase the compressive strength value of concrete against the compressive strength of normal concrete.
