Abstract

Couples who marry through arranged marriages have their own difficulties in establishing a household relationship due to the presence of new individuals in their lives that they have never known before. rejection of the adjustment habits of each partner, both in terms of attitudes or characteristics or habits that are carried out by each. Seeing this phenomenon, researchers are interested in knowing more deeply about the description of marital adjustment in women who marry through intercourse. This study aims to find out how the description of marriage adjustment for women who are matched, what are the difficulties that occur in marriage and how or strategies to adjust to marriage. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. As for the research subjects, there were two housewives who were obtained using a purposive sampling technique with the maximun variation of sampling strategy. For data analysis, data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman models and data triagulation according to Wiliam Wiersma were used. This study found that both subjects had good adjustments in the four dimensions of marriage adjustment.
