Abstract

TOHIRIN, 2022. Analysis of the Influence of Bio-Oil Fuel from Pyrolysis of Used Cooking Oil. Thesis. Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Islamic University "45" Bekasi.The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of gasoline-fueled motors using bio-oil as a result of temperature pyrolysis. This research is also to determine the performance efficiency of gasoline-fueled motors with bio-oil fuel produced from the pyrolysis process of used/used cooking oil. The research method used is an experiment, which will later be carried out in a pyrolysis reactor where the bio-oil fuel results from the pyrolysis of used/used cooking oil. In this test using a pyrolysis reactor, scales, thermocouple, stopwatch, measuring cup and heating coil. The tools and materials used in this study were a pyrolysis reactor, scales, thermocouple, stopwatch, measuring cup and heating coil. While the material used for research is used oil / used cooking oil. The pyrolysis reactor is the place where the used cooking oil process takes place. The pyrolysis process occurs with the help of a coil heater that uses electrical energy. The research variables used are fixed variables and independent variables. Fixed variable The fuel used is Bio Oil from used cooking oil pyrolysis with a temperature of 370 degrees Celsius. While the independent variables are tested through torque power and fuel efficiency.
