Abstract

Micro hydro power plant prototype is a tool for learning about how to apply a micro hydro power plant in everyday life, Micro hydro obtains energy from water flow with a certain height difference. Micro Hydro Power Plant uses the potential energy of falling water. The higher the difference in water level, the greater the potential energy that can be converted into electrical energy. Although the energy produced by micro hydro is relatively small compared to large-scale hydropower plants, this has implications for the small equipment required and the land area required for the installation and operation of micro hydro. In making this prototype using variations in nozzle diameter and the amount of load used and get the results that the nozzle diameter affects the rotation of the turbine and generator, the faster the water flow out of the nozzle, the greater the electricity generated.
