Abstract
ABSTRACT Name : Midnur Huda NPM : 41183506160077 Title : "Community Empowerment in Penggarit Tourism Village, Taman District, Pemalang Regency" Penggarit Village is one of the areas in Pemalang District, Taman District, where the people are able to understand the geographical situation by being stretched to build the village, so that it can become a tourist village. Penggarit Village offers various cultural and religious tours, nature tours, educational tours, agro-tourism, and culinary tours. Penggarit Village itself focuses on strategies for empowering village communities with various tours namely potential natural resources, art, culture and religious tourism which are managed by the Penggarit Village community themselves with the help of experts in the field of tourism. In empowering the tourism village community, they are assisted by extension workers and government agencies, namely Perhutani and BANK BRI. Therefore the researchers raised the formulation of how to empower the community in managing and developing a tourism village towards shared prosperity in Penggarit Village. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, which emphasizes analysis of a condition and is oriented towards answering research questions through formal and argumentative ways of thinking. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data is collected, the writer uses Miles-Huberman Analysis Techniques such as data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that (1) The process of managing a tourism village by the Penggarit village community itself assisted by the Village Government, BUMDESA wiguna Utama, Karang Taruna, and Penggarit Village tourism awareness groups are the main factors that support the success of empowerment efforts in Penggarit Village. (2) The impact of economic and social empowerment is felt by the Penggarit village community itself. Keywords: Community Empowerment, Tourism Village, Penggarit
