Abstract

The strength properties of the PCI girder bottom molding are very important. This is related to how much load it is capable of receiving. The PCI girder bottom molding pressure is to find out how much strength it has when pressure is given at a predetermined value. There is a need for research on material resistance in order to be able to adjust the load to the type of material used. In this test procedure, we used solidworks software using mild steel material. This aims to determine the effect of load variations on the stress value and safety factor of the PCI girder bottom molding design with simulations carried out on solidworks. The research was conducted using an experimental method that was simulated with solidworks which was able to analyze designs with certain variations. The results of the research and simulation calculations show that the material load of 10.4 tons has a stress value of 1.831.752 N/mm2, a strain of 6.301 x 10-6 and a safety factor of 120.43. For a material load of 10.8 tons, it has a stress value of 1,902,204 N/mm2, a strain of 6,544 x 10-6 and a safety factor of 225,968. While the material load of 11.2 tons has a stress value of 1.972.655 N/mm2, a strain of 6.787 x 10-6 and a safety factor of 111.826. Thus, it can be concluded that a system error will occur when determining the fix geometry, because the load/confinement cannot be applied to the beam face, beam edge or beam peak. From the results of the safety factor values obtained, the material is still elastic and the PCI girder bottom molding is still safe to use.
