Abstract

Society has experienced many developments in its life. Advances in information technology that are increasingly fast, accurate, precise and reliable, regardless of distance and time, are increasing factors that trigger this development. Based on data from infojabodetabek.com, the total population in Jabodetabek has reached 29,116,662 people. The dense population and activities have caused the Jabodetabek area to experience traffic jams, so that people are looking for public transportation service providers that facilitate their daily activities in meeting their needs. Indonesian Commutter Train Limited Liability Company (PT. KCI) is innovating to issue multi trip cards to improve service quality when transacting using public transportation. This study aims to analyze whether there is an effect of the effectiveness of implementing the Indonesian multi-trip card on the quality of public transportation services in the Greater Jakarta area. The approach used in this study is quantitative with survey techniques distributing questionnaires to multi trip card users. The sampling technique applied is simple random sampling. The data analysis technique of this research uses person product correlation, simple regression, coefficient of determination, partial test (t) and simultaneous test (F) to test the hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that the application of the multi trip card is very good, but the integration of PT KCI needs to be improved again because there are still community members who do not know about the use of the card. Meanwhile, the test results using SPSS show that there is an influence from the effectiveness of implementing the multi trip card with the quality of public transport services. The significance of the effect of the effectiveness of the implementation of the multi trip card on the quality of public transportation services is 51.8% and has a positive effect.
