Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan energi terbarukan dengan memanfaatkan sampah plastik serta mendapatkan informasi mengenai karakteristik minyak pirolisis. Hal yang di teliti meliputi sifat Kimia yaitu nilai kalor dan flash point. Hal lain yang di teliti adalah perbandingan daya listrik dengan hasil minyak pirolisis. Penelitian dilakukan pada temperatur 370⁰C,390⁰C,410⁰,dan 430 ⁰C dengan jenis material plastik PP (polypropylene) yang di pirolisis pada reaktor .Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi temperatur dinding reaktor maka minyak pirolisis yang dihasilkan semakin sedikit. Hasil minyak pirolisis terbanyak terdapat pada temperatur 390⁰C 62%. Nilai kalor yang didapat 44.668.95 kj/kg. Pengaruh temperatur yang signifikan terhadap hasil pirolisis serta daya listrik yang terlalu tinggi untuk melakukan pirolisis dengan menggunakan reaktor listrik membutuhkan waktu selama 90 menit dan daya listrik sebesar 2,792 kWh dan waktu yang di butuhkan untuk memanaskan tungku pembakaran selama 120 menit hingga mencapai temperatur 390 ⁰ C membutuhkan daya listrik sebesar 4,644 kWh dan nilai efisiensi alat pirolisis sebesar 14,167%. Kata kunci : pirolisis,energi terbarukan,sifat kimia, plastik PP, efisiensi alat pirolisis. This research was conducted to find renewable energy by utilizing plastic waste and to obtain information about the characteristics of pyrolysis oil. Things that are examined include the nature ofChemistry is the calorific value and flash point. Another thing that is examined is the comparison of electrical power with the results of pyrolysis oil. The research was conducted at temperatures of 370⁰C, 390⁰C, 410⁰C, and 430 ⁰C with PP (polypropylene) plastic material being pyrolyzed in the reactor. The results showed that the higher the reactor wall temperature, the less pyrolysis oil produced. The highest yield of pyrolysis oil was found at a temperature of 390⁰C 62%. The calorific value obtained is 44,668.95 KJ/kg. The significant effect of temperature on the pyrolysis results and the electrical power that is too high to carry out pyrolysis using an electric reactor takes 90 minutes and an electric power of 2,792 kWh and the time required to heat the combustion furnace for 120 minutes to reach a temperature of 390⁰ C requires electric power of 4,644 kWh and the efficiency of the pyrolysis tool is 14,167%.
